Jessica Savas, MD
Biography
Dr. Jessica Savas completed her Fellowship in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. After fellowship she joined the faculty, serving in the role of Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Associate Program Director of the Dermatology Residency Program before joining DSC.
Dr. Savas graduated from the University of Florida and subsequently earned her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She then completed her internship in internal medicine at the University of Miami/JFK Medical Center and dermatology residency at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
She is board-certified in both Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery by the American Board of Dermatology. She is an Associate of the American College of Mohs Surgery, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, as well as a member of the North Carolina Dermatology Association and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Savas' clinical practice is primarily focused on Mohs Micrographic Surgery and reconstruction with a special interest in the treatment of complex and advanced skin cancer. She has authored more than 20 articles in peer-reviewed journals and co-authored more than a dozen book chapters in dermatologic texts.
Dr. Savas and her husband stay busy with their two young children, but enjoy travelling, cooking, all things health and fitness, and spending time with family and friends.
