Matthew Clark, MD
Biography
Dr. Clark was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida, and attended the University of Florida for his undergraduate degree, graduating summa cum laude. He then stayed at the University of Florida to obtain his Medical Doctorate where he graduated cum laude and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Clark completed a dermatology residency at the University of Michigan and subsequently completed his fellowship in micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Dr. Clark developed a specific passion for dermatologic oncology, focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, and most importantly, prevention of skin cancer. He loves Mohs surgery because it allows him to form unique relationships with his patients while treating their skin cancer.
Dr. Clark's philosophy to patient care is forming a partnership with his patients and working together to achieve the outcome they are looking for. He believes in empowering his patients to make the best healthcare decisions by fully educating them about their options. Dr. Clark is also passionate about remaining active with continuing education and dermatology advancements to provide the best care to his patients.
On his days off, Dr. Clark enjoys playing and watching sports (especially basketball), Star Wars, being in nature, meditation, traveling, movies, and cheering on the Florida Gators. He also loves spending time with his wife and being a dog dad.
